Meetings and Membership

Monthly meetings take place the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. Meetings are held at various locations in Cedar Rapids, as their regular meeting location was damaged in the flood. Check the 'Recent News' section for information about meeting locations.

The cost of membership is $10.00 a year. We accept members globally. Dues go towards preserving our cherished Czech heritage. Tax deductible contributions are accepted for keeping this foundation operating. The Cedar Rapids Czech Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization and all of its work is done by volunteers.

Czech School Chili Supper

Each year a chili supper is held in March at the St. Wenceslaus Church to raise proceeds for the Cedar Rapids Czech School program.
This year's Chili Supper will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. in the St. Ludmila Church Social Hall, 211 21st Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA. A donation of $4.00 is requested.

St. Joseph’s Day Dance

Every year the Czech Heritage Foundation celebrates St. Joseph’s Day with a dance held in March. Czech royalty sell raffle tickets for selection of door prizes, and bake sale items and a light lunch are available for purchase. Proceeds support the Czech Heritage Foundation’s Homestay and Scholarship programs.
This year's celebration features Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen! Dance with us March 21, 2010 from 2-6 p.m. at Elk's Lodge, 801 33rd Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA. Admission is only $7.00.
