University of Iowa Cultural Diversity Fair
Look for the Czech Heritage Foundation at this year's Cultural Diversity Fair in Iowa City. Visitors can get a taste of Czech culture by trying some of our Czech cuisine, and we'll be sharing information about our organization and all we have to offer. Publications will be on sale, and the Royal Court will be on hand.
Masopust - the Czech Mardi Gras!
Celebrate Masopust February 13 in Protivin, Iowa! There will be music, food, beer, and dancing! Miss Czech-Slovak Iowa, Amanda De Hoedt, will be performing a Czech fable, and other members of the royal court will be present as well. Be sure to get your tickets early; the event sells out quickly!

January Meeting
The annual joint NCSML and CHF meeting will be held Monday, January 25 in the basement of the St. Wenceslaus Church. The NCSML meeting will begin at 5:30, the potluck will begin at 6:30, and the CHF meeting will follow dinner. The new CHF Prince and Princess will be installed into office and members will be able to meet the new royalty and their families.
Svaty Mikulas Visiting Czech Village December 05
Svaty Mikulas will be traveling through Czech Village with a Devil and Angel December 05. The group will be handing out sweets, and there will be a number of drinks and Czech bakery on hand at the event!
Flood of 2008
As many know, Cedar Rapids has been dealing with the effects of a large flood that damaged nearly all parts of the city including Czech Village and the surrounding Czech community.
